The Lancia Flaminia Pininfarina Coupé was penned by Pininfarina, and built by the coachbuilder. It was very similar to the Florida II prototype with a 2+2 layout. Like all other 2-door versions, the Coupé had a shortened wheelbase relative to the Berlina. The front end of the Coupé does not differ from the Berlina majorly, but the headlight frames are completely round, whereas they point slightly upwards in the saloon. The design of the Lancia V6 all aluminum engine was by Vittorio Jano who has built the pre war racing engines for Alfa Romeo. At the beginning of the 1960's this engine was available with a capacity of 2.8 Ltr and three twin chore carburetors. The Pininfarina masterpiece was arguably, one of the best looking Gentleman coupe cars and with such quality, it attracted many Film stars, Heads of state and other VIP's were customers of Lancia. This car which has been on display at the Automobile Museum, Stainz bears the -Targa D'Oro- or Gold medal issued by the Italian Historic Auto Club only for its best restoration and conservation of a historic motor car. Finished in the legant shade of blue note, over magnolia targadoro. Offered Italian Registration documents, it is beautiful in every respect.
